In a recent blog post, Bungie said that it is “making some changes to how Exotics work in Destiny 2.” The changes include:

  • Exotics will no longer be able to be dismantled for Glimmer or Legendary Shards.
  • Exotics will now have a higher chance of dropping from Nightfall Strikes and Raids.
  • Exotics will now be easier to obtain for new players.

Bungie also said that it is making changes to the Last Wish weekly quest. The changes include:

  • The Last Wish weekly quest will now reward players with an Exotic Cipher.
  • The Last Wish weekly quest will now be available to all players, regardless of their Light Level.

These changes are scheduled to go live on June 14th.

Exotic Gear Changes

The changes to exotic gear are designed to make them more difficult to obtain, but also more rewarding. By making exotics harder to dismantle, Bungie is hoping to prevent players from accidentally dismantling valuable gear. By increasing the chance of exotics dropping from Nightfall Strikes and Raids, Bungie is making it easier for players to obtain them. And by making exotics easier to obtain for new players, Bungie is making it easier for them to catch up to veteran players.

Last Wish Weekly Quest Changes

The changes to the Last Wish weekly quest are designed to make it more rewarding for players. By rewarding players with an Exotic Cipher, Bungie is giving them a chance to obtain an exotic weapon that they might not otherwise be able to get. And by making the quest available to all players, regardless of their Light Level, Bungie is making it more accessible to everyone.

These changes are sure to have a big impact on Destiny 2. It will be interesting to see how players react to them.
